- Developed by Berkeley and designed by Foster and Partners, SQP consists of 3 towers at 68, 56 and 41 storeys which between them deliver almost 1,300 homes.
- SQP1 or Valiant Tower is completed and reaches 68 storeys delivering nearly 900 homes in a single building. The second phase (SQP4/Harcourt Gardens) is under construction and due to practically complete in late 2024.
- Both buildings sit amongst 2.5 acres of beautiful new landscaped gardens including over 150 new mature trees.
- New retail, leisure and restaurants sit on the ground floor overlooking South Dock and Canary Wharf, providing a quieter, greener, sustainable new destination for the local community.
Role
Mike was a key part of the team that acquired the site in early 2012 then went on to lead the project as Development Director, through planning, and into construction.
Working with renowned architect, Foster and Partners, Mike skilfully led the team through complex pre-development negotiations including with the Civil Aviation Authority, Port of London Authority and the Canals and Rivers Trust.
SQP was one of the earliest tall buildings delivered south of Canary Wharf and required careful negotiation with Tower Hamlets and the existing residential community. The first 2 towers secured permission in April 2015 with the 3rd following in May 2016.
